A Sentinel* moment in your child's education

Photo

School children in elementary, middle and junior high schools (public, private & charter) from throughout New England can experience an excellent outdoor and environmental program in Tuftonboro, NH. With an invigorating series of classes held outdoors, which contribute to their physical health (three, two-hour classes daily), very comfortable accommodations in a winterized lodge, and great food, this program is an outstanding one. Schools can involve students and parents in fundraising to increase the investment that students have in the trip (3 days $199). Refer to the year's schedule in the right column.

The setting, as can be seen from the Sentinel* photos, is terrific! A deepwater lake, with streams, marshes, meadows and mountains create a great environment for students and teachers to grow and experience natural sights and sounds. The curriculum focuses on plants, birds, trees, wildlife & astronomy, and gets kids to be enthusiastic about spending more time outdoors and protecting natural areas.
